Whether you’re a seasoned rider or a curious newcomer, we want your journey to be smooth sailin’. This section will answer some frequently asked questions and get you prepped for hittin’ the trails.

Be sure to familiarize yourself with the local traffic laws and regulations. Tennessee has some beautiful, but sometimes winding, roads. Take your time, enjoy the view, and ride responsibly. Remember, dress for the weather and ride within your limits!

Licenses and Permits

Thinkin’ of doin’ some fishin’, huntin’, or explorin’ during your stay? Here’s a heads-up on what you’ll need:

Fishing and Hunting: You’ll likely need a Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) license. Head over to their website to get yours and brush up on regulations.

OHV/ATV Permits: For specific areas like the North Cumberland WMA, you’ll need a Combo Hunting and Fishing and a WMA Small Game Permit. These can be conveniently purchased online here.

Brimstone and Windrock Riding: If you plan on hittin’ the trails at Brimstone Recreation or Windrock Park, they have separate permit systems. You can find info and purchase passes directly on their websites.
